The main floor.
- In the main bathroom, we are going to replace the tile floor, replace the exhaust fan, add a backsplash, and replace the light (the only thing that survived the first reno).
- In the kitchen, we are going to replace the maple floor with oak to harmonize with the rest of the house, repaint the walls, repaint the cabinets, create a new shelving system and backsplash above the oven, and replace the exhaust fan (it's probably original to the house).
- In the living and dining rooms and the main studio, we have to decipher and correct some undefined odors coming out of the ducts/registers.
- In the second studio, we are going to replace the overhead light.
The basement.
- In the lower bathroom, we still need to finish the cabinets, tile between the floor and shower ledge, install the toekick and baseboard trim, add the backsplash above the counter, move an electrical outlet, fix the grout and caulk in the shower, hang the mirror, and make a shower curtain and a shade for the door.
Outside.
- In the garage, we are going to replace the interior walls and old insulation, repair the water line from the house that burst during a February freeze, and install a new sink and cabinet. We also need to paint the two exterior lights.
- In the yard, we are going to remove the sorry-looking chain link fence in the back and wash and stain the 6-foot wood fence. We also are going to replant/tackle a strip of land on the side of the house that has not yet been tamed.
- On the deck, we need to add the rails, replace the steps, and stain both with their respective product.
Piece of cake. Or maybe a whole grocery shelf's worth of cake. Or perhaps we'll just enjoy some ice cream tonight and call it even.
